Though you and I have never met, having spent two months of each year for the last twenty-two years in Mojacar and with friends in Chirivel, like Gerard and Brian, I feel the same affinity, particularly with our earlier connection through the MA before retirement. I love your writing style and have often commented to friends just what an interesting and easy read your blog is, sometimes with superb photographic illustrations. Unfortunately, I am not into cooking, the kitchen is somewhere I "pass through", under strict instructions not to make a mess on the way! But if I can pass on any of your published recipes I am sure my wife will be able to do them justice. Kind regards and good luck in your search on the IoW.David Lnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148923159678121857.post-44497040566897119762017-01-31T22:04:12.899+01:002017-01-31T22:04:12.899+01:00Thank you both for your very kind comments.Thank you both for your very kind comments.Ian Hurdleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17322290011259357106noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148923159678121857.post-20509496423477587522017-01-31T19:59:01.630+01:002017-01-31T19:59:01.630+01:00Hi Ian, we would be sorry to see your blog finishi...Hi Ian, we would be sorry to see your blog finishing but we understand why you might be thinking that way. We have followed this religiously because we have found great affinity with our own experiences of buying a property and sharing in the life of Frigiliana. Your passion for the village it's characters, fiestas, restsurants and daily activities reflect our love of our second home. As you're such a gifted writer we feel it would be a great idea to share your recipes and your experience of cooking and eating in Spain and beyond. We look forward to your new posts! This post reminded me of my time as a moderator on the Magistrates' Association Forum. Perhaps that is where you were posting prior to 2007. Or was it on 'The Magistrates' Blog' run by Bystander? I think it was as I seem to remember your contributions there, before discovering much later that Living the Dream was not only connected but written by one and the same. Following a brief visit today, I see The Magistrates' Blog is still thriving, though now run by a team? Despite everything that has happened in recent years it is evident from the postings there that some things never change.
